By-poll results indicate people’s frustration with BJP: Lok Gathbandhan Party

New Delhi, June 1: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said that the by-elections results in four parliamentary and 11 assembly constituencies are growing reflections on the poor performance NDA government at the centre.  The LGP said the BJP’s defeat in prestigious Kairana (UP) and Gondia (Maharashtra), which it had won with huge margins in 2014, is glaring example of the people’s increasing disenchantment with the NDA government.

The spokesman of the party said here on Friday that apart from massive anti-incumbency for various reasons, the people are frustrated with economic policies of the NDA government, which has put them in dire distress during the last four years. The spokesman said the BJP taking the people for granted had during the last three years completely ignored their welfare agenda and served its own vested interest. Solely depending on divisive agenda to win the elections, the spokesman said the BJP’s programmes and policies were directionless and anti-people and now the common man has started giving befitting reply.  Also castigating the opposition for repeatedly raking up EVM issue, the spokesman said now they are silent. The spokesman said people in the absence of honest, transparent alternative and extremely upset with the BJP have just voted for other political parties. The share of NOTA in Kairana and Nurpur on third and fourth place respectively in these constituencies indicated people’s frustration with them also.

The spokesman said hostile with present political parties as they all have been tested over the years the people are in search of an alternative which could provide honest and corruption-free governance. The spokesman said the LGP with its well-thought out and people-oriented progarmmes has offered an alternative to the people with good response from them. The spokesman said not only the NDA but all other political formations over the years have failed the people and they only worked for their own vested interest. Their so-called alliances, like the one now being stitched for 2019 Lok Sabha elections, have been directionless and misleading, the spokesman said, adding the LGP has offered an honest alliance with the people of the country to weed out corruption and decades of mess in the governance crept into the system due to politicians-bureaucratic nexus.
