New Delhi, June 18: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said the NDA government sloganeering “Hum Fit to India Fit” is a lopsided move to deflect the attention of the people from basic ills afflicting the governance in the country. The party said in the absence of honesty, transparency and good governance India can never become “Fit” and the NDA government has utterly failed on these fronts during the last four years.

The spokesman of the party said here on Monday that every department has resorted to slogan shouting of “Hum Fit to India Fit”, which does not reflect to the basic corrupted work culture prevalent in the government. The spokesman said India’s fitness solely depends of righteous, transparent and honest path of governance and development. The spokesman said following the NDA’s misleading slogan even the police officers and employees are seen working out to copy their masters. The spokesman said such a diversionary tactics is unlikely to politically help the NDA government whose all-round failure is quite glaring.

The spokesman said there is no doubt that good health is vital for everybody and its cumulative effect is always on the national health but the way entire governance is ailing such politically motivated sloganeering involving the government machinery is directionless and deceptive.

The spokesman said corruption, which has assumed menacing dimension in every walk of life will not be eliminated just by a NDA statement and slogan, as the entire administrative and political system has been corrupted over the decades and people with vested interest have octopus like grip over it.

The spokesman said when the administrative and bureaucratic machinery has become spineless and always eager to serve its corrupt political masters how one could think of getting rid of the wide-spread corruption in the system and make “India Fit”. The spokesman said just slogan to fight corruption could not help solve the problem, as the disease required major surgery by throwing away entire lot of corrupt political parties from the power. The spokesman said LGP has been carrying out anti-corruption drive and has called upon the people to join the LGP movement to root out corruption from the country to make it “fit and vibrant”.

The spokesman said the crisis has further taken dangerous dimension with almost all prominent political parties giving shelter to criminals and Mafiosi and even sending them to the Parliament and state legislatures. The spokesman said younger generation is extremely frustrated over the prevailing state of affairs but the corrupt politicians and officers have blocked avenues to change the situation. The LGP said unless there is complete political overhaul with the overthrow of corrupt parties the country will not come out of morass and become “Fit”.
