New Delhi, September 25: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) today said the BJP will not be politically benefited in forthcoming state assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha elections by raising anti-Bangladeshi pitch. The LGP said failing on developmental issues, the BJP president Amit Shah has now turned to politics of fear and paranoia for political gains.
The spokesman of the party said here on Tuesday these diversionary tactics are unlikely to help the BJP as the performance of BJP governments in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh is dismal and people in these states appeared to be ready to dislodge the party. The spokesman said reports coming from these states indicated that massive anti-incumbency is prevailing and for this reasons the BJP leadership, after raking up “Pakistan†in Gujarat election, has now turned to “Bangladeshi issue†to push the real issue under the carpet. The spokesman said calling Bangladeshis “termites†is simply aimed at whipping up passion around the issue in domestic politics. The spokesman said appeal to base vote by such tactics, which is also hostile in these states, will only yield negative response, as the people are now quite vigilant and national and state issues.
The spokesman said from “Mian Musharraf and Biryani to Assam’s Bangladeshis infiltration issuesâ€, the BJP has long history of playing to politics of misleading sloganeering for its vote bank. However with dismal performance both at the centre and in these states, even its core vote has fragmented, the spokesman said and added Shah’s comments on sending them back cannot be materialised as Bangladesh has not recognised the migration problem after 1972. The spokesman said Shah’s directionless witching hunting is not going to help him and outcome would be only self-goal for the BJP. The spokesman said that NDA’s story is the story of utter failure on economic front as the country has been passing through massive crisis, so there are desperate efforts to push these people’s issues under the rug. The spokesman said BJP leaders are maintaining stoic silence on the performance of NDA and hunting to clutch emotive straw that could help them. The spokesman said four-year India’s economic growth story has been miserable, as it has not positively impacted the people across the social spectrum and across the country.
