New Delhi, May 4: The controversial Cambridge Analytica (CA), the consultancy firm for political parties, has closed down the operation. The CA, facing legal cases in several countries and accused of misusing huge Facebook data for the clients, has finally downed the shutters following sharp decline in business.
In India the CA recently shot into limelight after the BJP accused the Congress of hiring the firm for political purpose. The Congress hit back the BJP for taking its services in the past. The NDA government had accused the CA of data leak and even FB had been warned on the issue. According to information the personal FB data of around 87 million was compromised all over the world. The CA had started this data harvesting operation in 2014.
