New Delhi, July 17: With 2019 Lok Sabha election fast approaching, apart from making and unmaking of political alliances, there is hectic race among the parties to win over various caste groups to win the elections. Under the prevailing political situation even the possibilities of communalization for electoral purpose cannot be ruled out, as it had happened in 2014.

Hectic efforts are on by the BJP, Congress and other regional parties for the caste mobilize to consolidate their respective base. Thus sharply reacting to the emerging scenario the Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP), headed by former Secretary Government of India Vijay Shankar Pandey, today slammed Congress, BJP and political parties for resorting to caste and communalism politics in the run up to 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Mr Pandey will be contesting Lok Sabha election from Faizabad (UP) on LGP ticket.  

The spokesman of the LGP said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments that “Congress a Muslim party of men” and “Puja in danger” during Azamgarh and West Bengal rallies respectively indicated where the BJP is heading once again to mislead the people after four-year of miserable performance of the NDA government.

The spokesman that the agenda of most of the political parties is unfortunately revolving around caste and communal permutation with new opportunistic alliances coming up to grab the powers by hook or by crook. Pointing out that after BJP-led alliance of NDA, which has totally failed to deliver, other parties have been desperately trying for similar gimmicks to deceive the people.

The spokesman said BJP, Congress and other parties have resorted to political opportunism through caste and communal politics for the Lok Sabha elections, as they lacked agenda for development. The spokesman said such moves would only further vitiate caste and communal atmosphere in the country. Since their performance has been dismal they have adopted divisive tactics to push major people-centric issues under the carpet.  The spokesman said in the larger interest of the country the LGP has called upon the people to shun the communal and casteist political forces which have pushed the country to the brink of disaster. The spokesman expressed concern that the country is caught in quagmire of problems filled with hatred and acrimony against each other. The spokesman said that at a time when the country has been facing immense socio-economic problems with massive corruption and mal-administration, poor people are being fed with communal hatred and caste conflagration. The spokesman said empowerment of each community should be through balanced development and not by division. The spokesman said that instead of wasting energies on divisive issues, it is high time the countrymen focus on social, political, economic and administrative reforms to abolish utter poverty and pave way for all round development. The LGP said the party has formulated its plan for welfare of every section of the society without any extraneous consideration.
