New Delhi, November 29: The Lok Gathbandhan Party (LGP) said today that the NDA government is desperate to present a rosy picture of the economy as compared to previous regime. The LGP said the back series data released by the Central Statistical Office (CSO) is aimed at misleading the people and change the narrative on the issue.
The spokesman of the party said here on Thursday that the comparison between the previous and present dispensation is meaningless as it cannot change the people’s perception about the utter failure of the NDA government on economic front. The spokesman said by resorting to such tactics the NDA government cannot shift the focus from its failure during the last four years. Pointing out that the ground realities are different from what the NDA government has been trying to convince the people, the spokesman said gimmickry and jugglery of data by Niti Aayog and CSO will not solve the problems of the poor people.
The spokesman said since the NDA has nothing positive to tell, it is raking up this issue to divert the attention of the people. The spokesman that NDA’s story of crony capitalism is of utter failure on economic front as the country has been passing through massive crisis, so there are desperate efforts to push people’s issues under the carpet. The spokesman said BJP leaders are maintaining stoic silence on the performance which is amply demonstrated during the on-going election campaign in five states. Calling upon the people to be vigilant of the machination of the BJP, the spokesman said it is high time to evaluate the pro-poor performance of the NDA government and not sway away by just baseless slogans and fake claims. The spokesman said four-year India’s economic growth story has been miserable, as it has not positively impacted the people across the social spectrum and across the country. The spokesman said 7.3% growth rate is minimal and not optimal, as it is not enough to generate jobs and profit and also lead to further investment. The spokesman said instead of blame game it is high time for the NDA to present its report card on economic front and not gloss over real issues. the spokesman said the people should realise that bad economy is NDA’s Achilles Heel, hence the move to shift focus.
