Lucknow, May 20: The Uttar Pradesh Government has increased the retirement age of group C and D state employees from 60 years to 62 years. The chief minister Yogi Adityanath has given approval to the proposal recently. With this announcement the employees of these categories will be able to retain full occupation status for two more years. In the election year, the Yogi government decision is being seen as a big solace to this class.
However the employees who have crossed the 60 years of age and are facing serious charges will be removed from service, the government added. Earlier this year, the Madhya Pradesh government had increased the retirement age from 60 to 62 years too. The government had said that the step was to give respectful life to the employees.
